ROAD Mentoring Program - Black History Month

On Saturday, February 11, 2012, The Brothers of the Xi Lambda Lambda Chapter will host its annual ROAD Black History Month mentoring program at the Rockland Community College Multi-Purpose room (located in the Student Union Building).  The theme of this year's program is "The African American Male in the 21st Century". The guest speakers for the program will be retired Chicago Bears Defensive Back and current New York Giants strength and conditioning coach, Marcus Paul; and Assistant Principal, Daryl Mack of Yonkers Public Schools.

ROAD Twilight Gala Fundraiser

The Rockland Ques will host the new ROAD Twilight Gala Fundraiser at the upscale Nyack Seaport.  The event will take place on Saturday, February 25, 2012 from 5PM - 10PM.   Please come and support the young men benefiting from the Rockland Omega AcaDemy (ROAD), established in 2007.  Please Note: 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the ROAD program.

The Brothers of the Xi Lambda Lambda Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and Pilgrim Baptist Church will be hosting a Charles Drew Blood Drive on Thursday, June 30, 2011 at 5:00PM - 9:30PM.  Donate blood with the Rockland Ques and Pilgrim Baptist Church and hit a HOME RUN for patients.  Each donor will receive two (2) tickets* to see the New York Mets at Citi Field in August 2011**.

* Tickets will be mailed - when we receive them from the New York Mets.
** The game date is at the discretion of the New York Mets organization

Columbia University, friends and colleagues will celebrate Bro. Dr. Edmund Gordon's 90th birthday with a day of events, luncheon and panel discussions of his work on June 17, 2011 at Teacher's College on the campus of Columbia University.  The event, "On His Shoulders We Stand", will feature a book signing, highlighting the publication of Dr. Gordon's three volume memoir , "On Pedagogical Imagination: A Conceptual Memoir".
