On Saturday, May 12, 2012, the brothers of Xi Lambda Lambda held its 1st Annual High School Football Combine. Eight high schools were invited of which four schools participated at the Torne Valley Sports Complex in Suffern, NY. The combine included a series of timed events such as a 30-yard dash, a power ball toss, a vertical jump and a shuttle drill. In addition, the quarterbacks, running backs, offensive and defensive linemen had an opportunity to showoff their skills.
An essay contest with the theme being "steroids" was given with three monetary prizes. The essay competition was just as intense as on the field. NFL offensive tackle and Super Bowl champion Roman Oben provided the high school participants with a pep talk.
